Local high schools eying shots at state football titles

Friday night football returns to ABC57 News this week with semi-state action.

Two local teams are vying for their shot at a state title.

The Mishawaka Cavemen are preparing for a semi-state match-up against another Michiana school.

They'll take on the Minutemen of Concord High School. The game kicks off at Concord on Friday.

The Marian Knights are also playing for their shot at a state championship. It's the team's first semi-state appearance in 13 years.

The last time they played at that level the team lost to Norwell back in 1999.

This Friday they hit the field against Hamilton Heights in Arcadia, Indiana.
