SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- After a slow few winters, local plow companies were eager to get to work early Thursday morning.
ABC57’s Jackie Bauer caught up with Dave Talbloom Lawncare & Landscaping when they were out plowing ABC57’s parking lot.
They plan to go through 22 tons of salt through the night.
Kevin Kline, owner of Dave Talboom Lawncare, says that he’s used to the long winter hours. His business has been plowing through the area since 1972.
He hopes this strong start to their snow season is just a taste of what's to come, because in recent years, they have felt a bit of a freeze on business with lower snow totals.
Kline said, “Be nice to have 20 of these events and have 100 inches of snow. That’s where we need to be at you know, but lately it’s been 30 inches, 50 inches, you know seasonal snow, you know, but yeah, yeah, definitely, it seems to be doing what it’s supposed to be doing right now.”
So, even if you're not loving this weather, these plow companies are wishing for more of it all winter long.
