Local school kids spend time with dogs

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Students at Tarkington Elementary in South Bend received a visit from some dogs on Wednesday.
The dogs were brought to the school on Hepler Road by Linda's Camp K-9.
The students were given different dogs and assignments. Then the students read to the dogs.
Organizers said it teaches the kids valuable lessons. They also said it helps students understand the importance of pet adoption.
