Local South Bend businesses prosper with Cubs' success

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -

Downtown South Bend businesses are reaping the benefits of the South Bend Cubs' victories. With record setting attendance at Four Winds Field, more people have been browsing the restaurants and other businesses in the area.

Andrew Schreiber is the manager of Chicory Cafe. He says there is always a rush of people before and after baseball games.

Other establishments also are seeing an uptick in customers during game days. 

And while Cub's fans are thrilled with the successful season, it also reaches to the local economy and helping businesses grow and profit.
