Local veterans honored at St. Paul's

SOUTH BEND Ind. -- They fought for our country and Monday, local veterans were honored for their service.

The Sanctuary at St. Paul's in South Bend held a ceremony.

Seventy veterans live at the retirement home.

Those who took part said it was a special but important celebration.

"I think if we can do anything to say thank you for all the service that these people have done for us, that's what we are going to do.  We are also just celebrating, you know the lives of our residents and the veterans in general," said Jessica Shirley, Sanctuary at St. Paul's.

The St. Paul's choir was performed a special thank you for the vets.
