ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Police Department reports local wanted man, Damian Ybarra, was recently arrested in Donna, Texas.

Police say Ybarra was wanted out of St. Joseph County on a Bench Warrant for a Probation Violation out for Domestic Battery and being previously convicted of battery or strangulation, and Unlawful carrying of a handgun with a prior felony conviction within the last 15 years.

Through an investigation, the SJCPD Warrants Division learned Ybarra was living in Texas.

SJCPD reached out to the Donna Police Department and asked for assistance tracking him down.

Ybarra was arrested without incident.

He is being held in Hidalgo County, Texas awaiting further legal proceedings.
