NEW CARLISLE, Ind. -- The Indiana Department of Environmental Management hosted a public hearing Wednesday night at New Prairie High School, giving locals the chance to voice their concerns about the AWS data center project potentially developing-over around 10 acres of wetlands in the area.
IDEM was not responding to questions or concerns from local residents and did not interview with ABC57 News.
Of the several dozen in attendance, more than 30 area residents signed up to speak in front of IDEM representatives at the event.
One resident claimed that AWS wasn't doing enough to find a solution for developing over the wetlands.
ABC57 will provide updates on AWS' application to IDEM that would expand construction to include that wetlands area as the situation develops.
