MIDDLEBURY, Ind. -- LoveWay celebrates its 50-year milestone this weekend, recognizing the motivation behind the organization and those who continue to make services possible today, like community volunteers.
It relies on 1-3 volunteers per child during their visit.
They can help out with things like feeding, cleaning, fundraisers and more!
LoveWay Executive Director, Shelley Becker says it’s rare for LoveWay to be open to the public, but the entire community is invited to the stables this Saturday at 1 p.m. for the celebration.
Activities include a story time with The Middlebury Public Library, performances by The CK Dance Company, face-painting, games and more.
There will also be remarks from LoveWay leaders, and even an Indiana State Representative!
Come out and help celebrate LoveWay’s achievements, those who continue to help it grow, and the future of the organization!
If you’re interested in volunteering, you don’t need to know anything about horses to donate your time. LoveWay hosts volunteer training classes next week!
You can learn more about LoveWay and apply to volunteer on their website!
