SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Department of Public Works in South Bend has announced the closing of the Main & Colfax parking garage while it undergoes construction.
The garage will be closed starting on Monday, April 1 and is expected to be reopened on Monday, May 13.
It will undergo structural concrete repairs and main entry improvements.
Construction will add a new entrance lane, making it more efficient during large events in the city.
The ticket dispenser and gates will be moved to the second floor of the garage for better traffic flow.
Other improvements include new signage, new pedestrian entries, fresh paint striping and improved parking space numbering.
