UPDATE: SBPD confirmed to ABC57 that the victim is a 20-year-old man.
ORIGINAL STORY: SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Just before midnight on Aug. 15, the South Bend Police Department responded to the 300 block of La Porte Ave. because of a shot spotter notification.
Authorities located a male suffering from a gunshot wound and he was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The SBPD Violent Crimes Unit is investigating the incident.
