Man accused of assaulting 81-year-old woman is charged with murder

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - The man accused of assaulting 81-year-old Judy Annis, who died on Tuesday from injuries sustained during the assault, has been charged with murder, according to the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office.
Randy Scott, 68, has also been formally charged with aggravated battery and possession of methamphetamine.
His charges were updated following Annis’s death.
Scott is accused of assaulting Annis at a home on Twyckenham Drive in September. He was arrested on September 23.
