Man accused of keeping over 100 animals in poor conditions

CASS COUNTY, Mich. - A man was arrested on Wednesday after deputies found over 100 animals at a home on Lilac Avenue, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrested Robert Dean Archer II on a bond revocation.

On June 21, deputies and the county’s Animal Control Division searched a home in the 2500 block of Lilac and found 107 animals total, including dogs, cats, goats, rabbits, mice, hamsters, Guinea pigs, snakes, turtles and a crab.

Deputies did not specify in what condition the animals were found in.
