ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - A man was arrested after admitting to molesting a child on multiple occasions and taking inappropriate photos of them, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Steven Nutter, 32, was arrested on three counts of child molesting.

On Thursday, the Mishawaka Police Department received a report of child molestation involving Nutter.

According to reports, a person close to Nutter found photographs of child pornography on Nutter's cell phone.

When approached about it, the victim depicted in the photos said Nutter had sexually abused them on a number of occasions and that it began when they were three years old.

Nutter spoke with investigators on Friday and admitted to taking the inappropriate photos and abusing the child approximately 20 to 25 times over the years, according to reports.

The last time he abused the victim was in February, Nutter said.

Nutter is being held on a $200,000 cash bond.

He is due in court on May 8 for his initial hearing.
