Man accused of operating while intoxicated after driving through field

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. – A man was arrested for allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated after deputies found him driving in a field behind a residence, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office reported.

At 8:30 p.m. on March 15, deputies were called to a residence near 7th and Union Roads in Plymouth for a report of a man driving a red Chevy Blazer in a field in the back of the residence.

A deputy arrived and located the vehicle.

After stopping the vehicle, the deputy suspected the driver, later identified as Heston Blankenship, was intoxicated.

Blankenship underwent field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. He was also found to be in possession of marijuana, according to reports.

Blankenship was taken for certified testing and later taken to jail.

He was lodged on charges including operating while intoxicated with a BAC over .15.
