Man accused of sexual misconduct with a minor
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - A man is being charged with three counts of sexual misconduct with a minor after a victim came forward with information about an inappropriate relationship with the man, according to the probable cause affidavit.
In October 2022, the Department of Child Services received a sexual abuse report involving a victim and 47-year-old Sean Mullins.
A previous report had been filed about the incident but the victim came forward with new information, according to reports.
The victim told investigators he met Mullins and the two eventually began spending a lot of time together.
At the time of the interview, the victim felt like Mullins was trying to separate him from his family, according to reports.
The relationship became inappropriate, and the victim reported feeling conned into doing inappropriate things with Mullins, reports said.
Mullins allegedly told the victim they could both get in trouble if the victim talked about what they did.
According to the victim, Mullins would buy him anything he wanted, reports said.
Investigators spoke with a family member, who said that in July of 2022, he saw the two of them asleep in the same bed and that Mullins had his arm over the victim, according to reports.
Mullins has another pending case for child molesting, according to court documents.
