Man accused of stealing boat, possessing methamphetamine

CASS COUNTY, Mich. – A man was arrested on Monday for allegedly stealing a boat and other items from a residence and being in possession of methamphetamine, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office reported.

At 7:35 p.m., deputies responded to a delayed breaking and entering report in the 21000 block of Carlton Drive in LaGrange Township.

Deputies were told that a large number of items were stolen from the residence, including a boat.

Deputies were eventually able to perform a search warrant in the 27000 block of Redfield Road where they located the stolen boat and a large amount of other stolen items, reports said.

A 37-year-old man was later arrested for breaking and entering, possession of stolen property, and possession of methamphetamine.

The suspect’s name has not been released pending arraignment.

This is an ongoing investigation.
