Man arrested after lying about his identity to police

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. – LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department went to a home after they received a call advising that there was a wanted man staying in a house at the 11000 block of West CR 450 North Sunday.

Deputies were dispatched to locate Earl Weaver, who had outstanding warrants out of Elkhart County.

When officials arrived to the home on June 17th, Weaver falsely identified himself as “Matthew”.

Weaver was arrested after he admitted his true identity to the deputies and was booked into the county jail.

Weaver was arrested for Resisting Law Enforcement, False Informing, and for the outstanding warrants, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
