Man critically injured in Edwardsburg shooting

EDWARDSBURG, Mich. - A man was critically injured after a shooting in Mason Township.

The shooting happened at a home in the 70000 block of 5 Points Road at 12:05 p.m.

When emergency crews arrived at the home they found Trevor Clair, 44, of Edwardsburg with a gun shot wound.

Deputies report that Clair was shot during an argument with another man at a garage on the property; both Clair and the shooter were visiting the homeowner at the time of the shooting.

Clair was taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend, where he was last listed in critical condition.

An arrest was made at the scene. Witnesses identified the shooter to deputies.

The suspect has not been identified. He was taken to the Cass County Jail where he is currently being held.

His name will be released after arraignment in Cass County 4th District Court.

The suspect is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
