Man delivering prescription medication to Walgreens attacked, robbed

BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Two men attacked a man who was delivering prescription medications to the Walgreens on Napier Avenue Thursday morning and stole some of the medication, according to the Benton Township Police Department.

Police were dispatched to the Walgreens at 875 Napier Avenue at 9:36 a.m. for the armed robbery call.

The victim told police he was preparing to the take the medication into the store when two men with baseball bats approached him and began hitting him in the head and legs, reports said.

The men took an undisclosed amount of prescription drugs and fled the scene in a green Toyota SUV.

The men were wearing dark clothing and white bandanas.
