Man dies after ATV accident

A 37-year-old man from Villa Park, Illinois died Tuesday, three days after he was injured in an ATV accident in Plymouth.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Department, around 6:18 p.m. Saturday, they received a 9-1-1 call about an ATV accident in the area of 12th and Queen roads.

Joseph Wilma, 37, had been riding an ATV and ran into some large rocks.

He was treated on scene by Plymouth EMS and transported to St. Joseph Regional Hospital, then transferred to South Bend Memorial Hospital.
Wilma died of his injuries Tuesday, April 21.

Deputies believe alcohol was a contributing factor to the accident.
