Man dies after truck goes over bridge and onto railroad tracks

SOUTH BEND — A man died after his truck went off the overpass near the intersection of Olive and Sample streets and onto the railroad tracks below. 

The victim has been identified as Michael J. Strantz.

Police say the conductor of a train coming down the tracks saw the vehicle and stopped.

The conductor of the Canadian National Railway train was able to speak with Strantz before he died.
