Man facing charges in Taco Bell robbery

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- We have an update to a story we first brought you last week.

Around 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 30, two men walked into the Taco Bell at Lincoln Way and Bendix in South Bend and demanded cash.

 

Police said a getaway driver waited in the parking lot. Then the three men took off and lead police on a chase into Mishawaka.

 

South Bend police were able to catch the driver and one of the suspects.

Ramone Burroughs was charged on Dec. 2 with Robbery, Armed with a Deadly Weapon (a Class B felony.

Bond has been set at $50,000 corporate surety or $5,000 cash.

Burroughs initial hearing will be on Dec. 13 in front of Judge Miller.

The investigation is still ongoing.
