Man fakes identity to go back to high school

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. – A man who wanted to revisit his high school days could soon face charges for it.

A 21-year-old Michigan man allegedly faked his identity and went back to high school.

Javier Jones pretended to be 17 and even made the football team.

But an anonymous tip revealed his true identity.

Police, parents and school administrators were surprised.

“It’s scary to think that, that could happen and he’s there roaming around with my 14-year-old daughter who’s in there,” said parent Sue Yoder.

The high school impersonator was thought a transfer student from the Lansing area.

Police say his transcript and birth certificate were forged.
