Man falls through South Bend hotel room floor

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Firefighters had to rescue a man after he fell through a hotel room floor.
Crews scrambled to get 20-year-old Jeremy White out of a hole in the floor of a room. He fell through Sunday at the Econo Lodge on Lincoln Way West.
White said the floor just gave way while he was standing on it, but the hotel manager believes otherwise.
He said White answered the door 10 minutes before he claimed he fell through the floor and told them he was leaving.
It turns out White wasn't even a registered guest at the hotel.
