Death investigation underway after man found in Goshen retention pond

GOSHEN, Ind. – On May 20, Goshen officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of Elders Drive regarding a possible drowning.
Goshen Medics and Fire were alerted at approximately 8:00 p.m. to a man found in a pond on Elders Drive.
The man was identified as 43-year-old Manuel Munoz Diaz of Hammond, Indiana. A cause of death has yet to be determined pending microscopic analysis and toxicology results, according to the Elkhart County Coroner.
Police do not suspect foul play.
