Man in critical condition after water accident

CASS COUNTY, Mich. – The Cass County Sherriff’s Office is investigating a water accident that occurred at the 17000 block of Donnell Lake St. in Penn Township on Saturday.

Deputies are reporting that Parish Swanson, 50, of Aurora, Illinois, was with his sons on a dock when he was pushed into the lake.

After a brief amount of time under water, his sons brought him back to shore.

Swanson was given CPR before being transported to Elkhart General Hospital by Life Care Ambulance.

He is listed as being in critical condition.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Cass County Marine Division, Penn Township Fire Department and Life Care Ambulance.

The case remains under investigation.
