Man injured in home invasion on S. High Street

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A man was injured when someone entered a home and attacked him Friday evening, according to South Bend Police.

Police were called to a home in the 3300 block of S. High Street around 9:40 p.m.

When they arrived, they found a man on the floor with injuries.

He was taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment. His injuries are non-life threatening.

Other people in the home at the time told police a suspect entered the home and attacked the victim. The suspect then ran from the home and got into a vehicle nearby.
