Man injured in shooting on S. 9th Street on Sunday

A man was injured in a shooting that happened in the 500 block of S. 9th Street Sunday around 10:15 p.m.
When Elkhart Police officers arrived, they found a 34-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the chest.
He was taken to Elkhart General Hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
Officers located shell casings at the scene.
A home was also struck by gunfire.
Police are continuing to investigate.
