Man pleads guilty to murder of 2-year-old girl from Warsaw

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. – The man accused of beating, killing, and burying 2-year-old Adalin Stamper in a shallow grave last year, pleaded guilty to the girl's murder on Monday.

On November 11, 2016, Kosciusko County Deputies were dispatched to a home on Sue Avenue in Warsaw regarding a missing person.

Deputies reported finding a ‘substantial’ amount of blood and a ‘suspicious area’ in the backyard of the home.

Stamper’s body was pulled from a shallow grave. She was wrapped in white trash bag.

According to officials, Stamper had been in the presence of Grimmett while at his brother’s home since 3 p.m. that day.

Court documents say in the process of the investigation, Grimmett admitted to beating the child to death.

His sentencing is set for October 5th at 9:30 a.m.
