Man sentenced to 20 years in death of Eric Johnson

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - A man was sentenced to 20 years in connection with the death of Eric Johnson in May 2022.
On Thursday, John Parnell Thomas was sentenced after pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter as part of a plea agreement.
Thomas was initially charged with murder in connection with Johnson's death.
As part of the plea agreement, Thomas's charges for two other cases were dismissed.
