Man tied up, robbed in wooded area in Elkhart

ELKHART, Ind. – A man was tied up and robbed in a wooded area in Elkhart early Saturday morning, the Elkhart Police Department reported.

At 12:17 a.m., an officer was dispatched to a motel in the 3300 block of Plaza Court for a report of a robbery.

The victim reported that he had gone across the street to another motel in the 3400 block of Cassopolis Street when two males came out of the woods and robbed him.

The victim said the two males escorted him down a trail into the wooded area, tied his hands behind his back, and took several items from him, including his cell phone and some cash.

No arrests have been made in connection with this ongoing investigation.
