Man under arrest in parking lot after hit-and-run

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Department, a 30-year-old man was arrested in a parking lot Wednesday following a hit-and-run.

The 30-year-old, Patrick Wright Jr. of Portage, has been charged with Operating While Intoxicated - Endangering, Operating While Intoxicated - BAC .15% or More, Resisting Law Enforcement, and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Crash.

Around 10:39 p.m. Wednesday, the sheriff's office was alerted to a two-vehicle crash with one vehicle fleeing.

Officers later found the fleeing vehicle at the McDonalds in Walkerton. Wright was allegedly unconscious in the driver's seat.

According to the department, Wright was belligerent and non-compliant but successfully taken into custody and sent to the Marshall County Jail.

Wright's bond has been set at $1,505.
