Man's best friend gets a night on the town

On Friday night, South Bend went to the dogs!
It was all part of the "Dog Days of Summer" First Fridays event.
More than 400 dog lovers and 200 adorable pooches were in attendance.
Some of the highlights included a pet fashion show, free treats for the pups, a "Strut Your Mutt" parade, and a scavenger hunt!
Pets Connect was even out encouraging people to adopt.
"I think if you don't own a dog, you are definitely missing out," said Dennis McQueen from Pets Connect.
