Benton Harbor Mayor Marcus Muhammad announced that he will be running for Congress in Michigan’s Fourth Congressional District this year.
Mayor Muhammad is currently serving his second term as Benton Harbor’s mayor since first being elected in 2015.
Michigan’s newly-drawn Fourth Congressional District covers Benton Harbor, St. Joseph and much of the Lake Michigan shoreline area up to Holland.
Mayor Muhammad made the announcement of his run for Congress in a tweet on Friday.
