MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The Marian High School Boys Basketball team is heading to the IHSAA State Championship after beating the Leo Lions in a hard match Saturday night.
The Marian Knights faced the Lions at the historic North Side Gym in Elkhart with Marian winning with a score of 74 to 63.
Robb Berger, Marian HS Head Basketball Coach, was simply happy his team gave it their all. “I’m just happy we competed hard for 32 minutes, both ends of the floor. I don’t care about the score as long as we compete and the score worked out in our favor today,” he said.
The historic win places Mishawaka Marian against the Beech Grove Hornets at the State championship in Indianapolis next Saturday, March 26.
