Martin's Super Market opening in downtown Elkhart

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – The new Martin’s Super Market in downtown Elkhart’s new “River District” development will open with a ribbon-cutting celebration on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 10:00 a.m.

This new Martin’s Super Market will house new features: Martin’s “Signature Smokehouse BBQ” and Martin’s “Grill” in the service meat department, offering ready-to-grill options including pub burgers, sausage, chicken, lobster rolls, sandwiches and more.

The store will also feature Martin’s “Groceries to Go” online ordering with curbside pickup or delivery service and “Rush Pick Up” offering curbside pickup of deli and Starbuck’s items.

“The Fresh Divide” will offer customers the opportunity to choose fresh produce and staffers will slice or dice and portion those selections while they wait.

A larger and expanded Starbuck’s Coffee Kiosk and new Floral Shoppe are additional highlights of this new location.

The space will also feature a “Community Room” that will be available for meetings and other gatherings.

This location will also offer self-checkout lanes as a new option for the customers.

In honor of the grand opening, Martin’s will also be contributing up to $15,000 to local organizations as part of their “Elkhart Community Care Fund.”

The first contribution recipients will be announced at the grand opening of the new store. Additional non-profits will be recognized throughout the month.

Following the grand opening, Martin’s Super Market will be hosting a few more events. Information for these events can be found below.

• Tuesday, Oct. 13, a special BBQ event will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This event will feature samplings of Martin’s “Signature Smokehouse” items.
• Friday, Oct. 16, Martin’s Super Market will be hosting “Food Truck Friday” at the store with a “Buy One Lunch, Get One Free” offer from the Martin’s “Side Street Deli” food truck.
