Masks optional for vaccinated fans at Notre Dame football games

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – The Notre Dame Athletics Department has announced football gameday polices for the 2021 season, which includes optional mask-wearing for vaccinated guests while outdoors.

Masks

  • Masks will be optional for vaccinated guests while outdoors or in non-enclosed spaces
  • Non-vaccinated guests are expected to wear masks while on campus
  • All guests are required to wear a mask indoors regardless of vaccination status

Parking & tailgating

  • Tailgating in University lots will return for the 2021 season
  • Campus lots will open at 8 a.m. for the first two games
  • Opening times for campus lots for the rest of the games will be announced at a later date

Traditions

  • The Player Walk, Football Fridays at the Eck, and other outdoor traditions will return for the 2021 season

Pep rally

  • A student-centric pep rally will be held before the first home game of the season and will be open to the public

Cashless venue

  • All vendors and concession stand inside Notre Dame Stadium will only accept payment in the form of credit or debit card
