SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Portage Township has announced an event to celebrate the renovation and re-invigoration of Matthys Ballpark in South Bend.

The community is invited to attend this celebration.

The event will take place on Sept. 20th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. located at 4700 Meadow Lane in South Bend.

Exhibition baseball games will be played with free hot dogs and snacks available.

A ceremonial ribbon cutting will take place after remarks by Trustee Jason Critchlow, Matthys Little League President Shad Robakowski, and other community partners.
