Mayor Buttigieg hires new Deputy Chief of Staff
South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg has hired Suzanna Fritzberg as his Deputy Chief of Staff.
Fritzberg has just earned her master's degree from the University of Oxford. Her work experience includes time as an Economic Policy Researcher for the Roosevelt Institute Think Tank, a Fellowship Director for the Students for a New American Politics PAC and as an Investigative Legal Intern in the Orleans Public Defenders Office in New Orleans.
She's taking over the position from Brian Pawlowski who will now be Director of Business Development in the Department of Community Investment.
The mayor is excited to have Fritzberg as part of his team and feels she'll be great for the city.
"Her combination of deep policy expertise, educational accomplishments and practical experience make her a great asset to our office and to the people of South Bend. We are attracting top talent to our city as South Bend continues to move in the right direction,” said Buttigieg.
