Mayor Buttigieg Homecoming Event

First Friday will be a special one this month for the city of South Bend.

It will be the official welcome back for Mayor Pete Buttigieg.  

Buttigieg arrived home last week, after a seven month deployment in Afghanistan.  

He'll be honored tomorrow at the Century Center, joined by other local leaders.

It will kick off the First Friday event which is open to families downtown South Bend.

Kids are encouraged to create posters that say "Welcome home Mayor Pete!"
