Measles vaccine used to cure cancer
An experimental cancer treatment is showing amazing results and making medical history.
After 10-difficult years with cancer, doctors announced Stacy Erholtz is in remission.
She was given a highly concentrated dose of the measles virus, enough to vaccinate 10-million people.
Doctors say the treatment beat her cancer.
Erholtz is happy and she's never felt better.
"I am filled with joy. I really am. It is interesting because I would say the cancer has made my faith much stronger. And I wouldn't give it back," said Erholtz.
Erholtz will have to be tested for cancer the rest of her life to make sure it does not make a return.
Doctors are now using the measles virus on other patients to see if it will help others with cancer.
