Meet the Candidates Forum
SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- On Monday October 29th, St. Joseph County voters are invited to attend the Meet the Candidates Forum.
The League of Women Voters and the American Democracy Project are teaming up with the St. Joseph Public Library to help inform voters.
The event will take place at St.Joseph County Library at 304 S. Main Street.
From 6p.m. to 8p.m., candidates will be asked about their qualifications, background and top policy priorities.
"The public library, the American Democracy Project and the League of Women Voters all share a commitment to an informed electorate. Meet the Candidates forums allow people to match the names on their ballot to real people, allowing voters to learn more about the candidates before casting their votes. This interaction between voters and candidates is a critical part of a functioning democracy." -Elizabeth Bennion, Event Organizer/Moderator
