Meet Santa, Mrs. Claus at the Cubs Holiday Extravaganza Dec. 8
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The fourth annual Cubs Holiday Extravaganza will bring fun holiday activities families Saturday including a meet and greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
The extravaganza will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Four winds Field.
Admission and parking will be free for guests. Fans will be entering and exiting the stadium through the Cubs Den Team Store on Western Avenue.
A photo area will be available for families to have their picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Additional activities include free cookies and hot chocolate, a “12 Days of Christmas” scavenger hunt, bean bag toss, ornament decorating and a letters to Santa station.
Enter for a chance to win a Cubs prize pack by decorating and hanging ornaments on the tree within the Cubs Den Team Store.
Songs from “The Christmas Schooner” will be performed by South Bend Civic Theatre players outside of the team store at 12 p.m.
Tables will be also be set up on the concourse featuring free candy, items for purchase and crafts from unique vendors.
The Cubs Den Team Store will remain open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with gifts for the holidays as well as special discounts.
South Bend Cubs Vice President and General Manager Nick Brown said, “After seeing the success of this event over the last few years, we needed to expand beyond the Cubs Den.” He adds, “The crowds are getting bigger, so we have to use more of the stadium, which allows us to provide more free activities like our Halloween event back in October. We want Four Winds Field to be a year-round, community space.”
