The new memorial bench is located outside the Marine Corps League of St. Joseph Valley.
"Memorial Day always means a lot to us and then to see then names of some of these people on the bench... we've got World War II, Iwo Jima veterans, all the way to Iraq, Vietnam... there's several Vietnam names on the bnch and they're all special to us... everyone of them," Rich Mullins, Commendant of the Marine Corps League.
The names of 18 men are printed on the memorial. Each name was read aloud during the ceremony as friends and family and those of the community stopped for a moment of thanks.
