Memorial Day events

There are several parades and other events in Michiana in honor of Memorial Day.

BERRIEN COUNTY
Niles Memorial Day Parade: 10 a.m. Because of the Main Street bridge reconstruction, this year's starting point has been moved to Niles City Hall on Second Street. The rest of the route going east on Main Street to Silverbrook Cemetery is unchanged.

ELKHART COUNTY
Elkhart Memorial Day Parade: 2 p.m. Begins at Harrison and Main streets, ends at Third Street.

Goshen Memorial Day Parade: 10:15 a.m. Begins at Main and Jefferson streets, ends at Oakridge
Cemetery.
 
Middlebury Memorial Day Parade: 10 a.m. Begins at Middlebury Elementary School, ends at Grace Lawn Cemetery.

Nappanee Memorial Day Parade: 10:30 a.m. Begins at Nappanee Elementary School, ends at City Hall.

MARSHALL COUNTY
Bremen Memorial Day Parade: 10:15 a.m. Begins at Bremen post office, ends at Bremen Cemetery.

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA
Mishawaka Memorial Day Parade: 9:30 a.m. Begins at Third and Main streets, turns left at Mishawaka Avenue and ends at Battell Park.

Osceola Memorial Day Parade: 8 a.m. Begins at Osceola Avenue, travels west on Lincoln Way to Oregon Street.

South Bend Cubs – Military Appreciation Day. All active duty and military veterans get 2 free tickets to the game. Must present military ID. Game starts at 2:05 p.m. and gates open at 1 p.m.

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, MICHIGAN
St. Joseph, Michigan Memorial Day Parade: Noon. Begins at the intersection of Lake Boulevard and Park Street and travels down Lake Boulevard to the John E. N. Howard band shell.
