Memorial Health and Lifestyle Center is offering a way to help accomplish your goal.
Their “Three Walks a Week” program kicks-off Monday and are encouraging those to get a few walks in each week with their indoor track.
Memorial Health and Lifestyle Center is offering incentives as well: those who walk 300 laps by the end of the program will receive a pedometer.
“Walking strengthens all your lower body joints, hips, knees, ankles. Any aerobic exercise has been shown to be a mood elevator particularly when we hit these darker days, literally. Having some mood elevators is really important,” says fitness specialist Bridget Hardy.
The program costs $29 for nonmembers, and those wanting to walk can at the center from 11:30 am-1:30 pm three times a week.
