Mendon man arrested after being found with methamphetamine

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. - A Mendon man was arrested on September 14 after deputies discovered crystal methamphetamine in his possession during a traffic stop, according to the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Office.

At 9:14 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle in the area of Ray Road and Michigan Avenue in Mendon Township.

During the stop, deputies discovered the driver, a 41-year-old Mendon resident, was in possession of crystal methamphetamine and several handguns, according to reports.

Deputies later performed a search warrant at the man's home in the 51000 block of Hallam Road and found more narcotics, reports said.

The man is being held at the St. Joseph County Jail on several felony charges.

His name is being withheld pending arraignment.
