SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Mercado de la Western started in June. The market is a way for people to shop locally, get out in their community, and meet others.
As the weather gets cooler, festival organizer, Sonia Perez, wanted to wrap up the market with a fall festival which offers a pumpkin patch, petting zoo with animal feeding, pony rides, vendors, food, a DJ, and live dancing.
"The Western Market is all about unity." Perez said. "It's about bringing local families together, it's about bringing children activities, and just creating a space where our local entrepreneurs can bring their products and market themselves.
Western Market is hosting a Trunk or Treat to conclude the year and plans to return in the spring.
