Temperatures drop dangerously low, near 0 degrees, tonight as clouds clear out, and all ground heat is able to escape. Warmer air starts to move in on Sunday, along with the next system. Scattered snow showers will push into Michiana during the mid-late morning hours. Light, scattered snow will be possible until the evening. During the evening, expect snow to intensify and become more widespread. Overnight, temperatures will warm near freezing, which means that snow will mix in with freezing rain. This will make for a messy Monday morning commute. Mix is possible throughout Monday morning, ending by midday. Snowfall totals are looking to be between .5-2.5 inches.
Temperatures warm up big time this week and will cause a lot of the snow to melt. Highs stay at or above freezing, making it into the mid 40s by Thursday.
Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy. Low of 2.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy with sct’d system snow. High of 28.
Sunday night: Snow/freezing rain.
Monday: Wintry mix ending in the morning. Highs in the mid 30s.
