Metro Homicide investigating death of 35-year-old man

The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit is investigating the death of a 35-year-old man who was found deceased off Marine Street Friday morning.
South Bend Police and fire were dispatched to the 1400 block of Marine Street at 8:45 a.m. for a man lying in the alley.
When they arrived, they found 35-year-old Derek Dekker deceased.
Investigators say there were no obvious signs of a cause of death, they are concerned because it appeared he may have died elsewhere and moved to the alley, reports said.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
